In Dr. STONE, our main characters venture from Earth in the near future — the year is 2038 — 3700 years from then the human world has now been turned to stone, but miraculously everyone's still alive. Nature has retaken the world and covered it in thick forest and animal life. It may not be your alternate world, but with no technology, at all, they need to build the world up from scratch.
Characters play a big role in a story, series or movie. Knowing them can help you understand the plot better. The main character in Dr. STONE is Senku. He is smart and logical, he can come off as arrogant, but will never mock those who are less educated than himself. Some close friends of Senku are Taiju and Yuzuriha. Tsukasa is the antagonist, a strong young man formerly known as The Primitive High Schooler.
I think that while being a hilarious show, it's also educational. There are different science experiments (they have a warning at the end of each episode) and they show basic little survival tips like making fire with limited supplies.
