(Please note I make all these stories up)
"Hurry they're catching up, if we can make it to the temple we will be safe!" They nipped at our heels as we ran, trying to catch up.
"We are lucky they are only small monster." My brother next to me said with a dry laugh. I just smiled grimly back at him knowing that we couldn't even handle the tiniest of monsters. He grinned at me trying to be the stronger one of us, I chuckled at his antics knowing he is scared out of his mind and only pretending, at least he put a smile on my face. Three feet, two feet, one foot, I counted mentally, and zero. We passed the magic barrier and collapsed on the ground, we slowly sat up and my brother whispered to me, "Ok, our story this time is that we were taking a walk in the courtyard and some small monsters leapt the fence."
"Got it" I say and nod my head at him. We walked in, and wandered around for a bit, then our butler came rushing up to us whispering thank god under his breath.
He kneels down and says "Your Highnesses where have you been? We have searched everywhere, I hope you haven't snuck out again."
We glanced at each other and I said "We were playing hide and seek in the back yard, don't worry we had protection." Well the fact that we have protection was true, we have guards, but they only act in life and death matters with assassins. Good thing the lie detector doesn't work on us because we are royalty.
He breathed a sigh of relief and said "Good, now hurry hurry we have to go back to the castle."
We looked at each other confused and my brother spoke up this time "But I though we still had a week left here?"
"There has been a threat against your highnesses, We Leave NOW" He answered, using force in the last bit of his sentence.
We looked at each other and sighed hopelessly this was our first vacation and we had to leave after one day, so we both answer dejected "Ok," We grab our things, not even getting to unpack and head into the purple magic carriage to get to the castle.
To Be Continued Next Week......
