Dear Reader

Dear Reader,

In later elementary and middle school, a lot of students start having crushes. Since this happens, people start questioning their sexuality (who they like). For example I have friends who are bisexual (when you like girls and boys). I am also not straight (when you like the opposite gender) since I like girls and am a girl. To anyone who is questioning their sexuality or is also questioning their gender, I want to tell you something. It is ok to not be straight and to not be comfortable with the gender name you were born with. If someone says something bad don’t listen. We are young, and still able to fully decide these things. Always remember you don’t have to stick to a label and you don’t even need to label yourself. No one should be pressuring you to say who you like at this age or to bring you down. Our school is supposed to be a safe community for everyone. If you ever need to talk there are teachers that can lead you to someone to talk to or you can talk to them. Also you may email me, I do not have experience in

making people feel better or in psychology, but I am still there if you need someone to talk to.

Sincerely,

Isabel Wisniewski
