Introduction
Hey everyone! I’m Ella and as you know, a part of the FSA Journalism team. Today I’m going to show you how to make a stopmotion. It’s a long process, but it’s worth it in the end, I assure you. And as Rosanna Pansino says, “LET’S GET STARTED!”
Supplies
The making of a stopmotion is tedious. Take Coraline, the longest stopmotion, it probably took a year or two to make. What you do to make a stopmotion is grab an item, (I recommend some kind of toy.) grab your tablet or phone or your camera, grab some thing to balance it, (Tripod or books.) make a nice background, and make your movie! And if you choose an tablet or phone, there is an app called Stop Motion Studio, and it’s free. The app has a blue gradient with a movie camera. There is also a Stop Motion Studio Pro which costs $$$, only buy this if you are really serious about stopmotions. I wouldn’t want you wasting your money.
It is the same thing as it's not as skilled older bro, but with purple instead.

Let's Do This!
Once you finish setting up, put your item in front of the setup. Take a picture. Then what you do is move it again. It could be an arm, a leg, or you just move it the whole object. It has to be a small movement, because you want to see it move smoothly in the video. If you do it too big, it will look choppy. Repeat this step multiple times. You can move multiple things, like for example, make your doll walk to the camera and wave. You can get two objects and make them talk, or whatever you want them to do! Get your creative juices flowing!
Amazing Stopmotion Links
Here are some links to some stopmotions I found on YouTube, this will help me get my point across.

Edit your Creations!
Tablet/phone: If you are using the app I recommended, there is a little question mark in the bottom right corner if you start a new stopmotion, it will help you out.
Camera: First, upload your photos from your camera to your computer. (It may take a while.) Some editing softwares I recommend is either final cut pro (Really confusing but better quality.) or iMovie (Easy to use but the duration of your video will be longer because of the speed of the photos, so it’s not as good.) I’m not an expert on either of these editing softwares, since I use my iPad, so here are some videos you can watch.

Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed learning about how to make a stopmotion! Now you have a new skill you can put on your college application or something. With your new found skills, you can be the next Coraline! Ella signing off!
