What is an indie game?
indie is short for “individual.” Indie games, as you would presume, are games made by one individual or an individual group. Here are some indie games worth mentioning.

MINECRAFT
Although not anymore, Minecraft started as an indie game, originally created by markus persson. The game can take days and weeks to complete, but the world record is about 15 minutes, performed by someone from michigan, USA, who goes by the name Korbanoes. To beat the game you need to defeat the ender dragon, but you can always do whatever you want. Its not time based, so you can take your time. Minecraft was never intended to be such a huge thing, but it is now the second most popular game in the world, in close competition with Fortnite, Roblox, Among us, and Animal crossing new horizons.

UNTITLED GOOSE GAME
Although the name is called “untitled goose game”, that IS the title of this game. This game was created by house house, an indie group of 4 people:Nico Disseldorp, Jacob Strasser, Stuart Gillespie-Cook, and Michael McMaster. The game takes about an hour to complete, but some people have managed to complete it in a whopping 2 minutes! You go through tasks to annoy people. Make the boy wear the wrong glasses, steal a rake from the farmer and put it in the lake, sneak into a restaurant, etc.

STARDEW VALLEY
This game is created by only ONE individual, Eric Barone, AKA concernedape. His game is Inspired by Harvest Moon. Stardew Valley is a farming simulation with no end. There is no “beating the game.” only goals. Upgrade your house all the way? Finish the museum? Get married? Finish the community center? Make the biggest farm possible? Its all up to you.

AMONG US
an online game set in space, created by innersloth, a group of 3 annonymous people. how the game works is 1-3 people are the impostor, and everyone else is a crewmate. the impostor's job is to kill everyone, either by sabotaging oxygen, sabotaging the reactor, or doing the dirty work yourself. you can also "vent" where you can, well, go through the vents. if you are a crewmate, your job is to get rid of the impostors before they get rid of you, or complete all your tasks. if something is sabotoged, you need to fix it beofre its too late. when an impostor kills someone by hand, the body stays where it was. anyone, including the impostor, can report the body, then everyone discusses where the body was and who was nearby. Then voting. whoever has the most votes is thrown out of the ship. whoever is thrown out of the ship becomes a ghost. as a ghost, if you are an impostor, you can still sabotage. if you are a crewmate, you can still do tasks. each round averages in 5-10 minutes.

UNDERTALE
ah, undertale. this game is the perfect balance between hilarious and dark. the story is...well, I don't want to spoil it. I'll just tell you the important part. you fell into the world of monsters and now you need to get out. you chose to kill everything, spare everything, or mix. there will be plenty of friends you can meet along the way!(if you dont kill them all) my personal favorite is Temmie. he....she? oh whatever lets go non-binary. THEY run the temshop in tem village. donate for them to go to college and they will learn how to make "Temy Armour". it may be made of cardboard, but its the strongest armour in the game!
