The Legacy of Minecraft

Java:

Minecraft Java Edition was released on November 18, 2011, and was released to PC/Computer only. Minecraft Java Edition is different from its counterpart, Minecraft Bedrock Edition. They have they’re differences but the main difference that separates them is the fact that Bedrock can only go on certain Minecraft servers such as Mineplex, etc. (more in depth on the Bedrock part of this article and the servers article)

Bedrock:

Minecraft Bedrock Edition was released August 16, 2011, and was released to PC/Computer only. Bedrock Edition is fit for more of a survival type of Minecraft rather than Java which is more fit for PvP.

PvP:

PvP stands for player vs player. It essentially means you and another dueling using a series of items such as swords, gapples (golden apples), and armor. PvP is usually hosted in Hypixel Duels, and/or Bedwars. (More explained in Servers).

Clients:

Minecraft clients are used for fps boosts, PvP mods and add-ons, and more. The main 2 clients are Lunar Client and Badlion Client. I personally have both and sometimes switch between them, but I'm currently using Badlion Client. Clients let you use (I think) all of the versions of Minecraft. 1.8.9 and 1.16.5 are the most commonly used, being 1.8.9 is used for PvP, and 1.16.5 is used for Survival, Hardcore, etc. since it's the current most up to date version of Minecraft.

Creative/Survival/Hardcore:

Survival is the most popular version of Minecraft's Singleplayer, which is essentially normal Minecraft, but you can use commands to make the game easier if you're a beginner. Hardcore is arguably more popular than Survival, but in my eyes, Survival takes over all. Hardcore is the same as normal Survival Minecraft, except you only get one life, and there's no commands or cheats whatsoever. And then there's Creative. Ew.

Multiplayer/Realms:

Multiplayer is, in my opinion, the most fun thing in all of Minecraft, which is upsetting, because you cannot play Multiplayer Minecraft with your friends without spending money. (Which is extremely stupid by the way, like I can only play with my friends is I pay up? Come on Mojang, I'm broke). So the only way to play with your friends is by buying a realm, which is also dumb. But whatever, maybe in the future Mojang will stop acting like EA, making you pay for something you shouldn't have to pay for and implementing stupid things into their games that really shouldn't be in the game.

Servers:

Servers are a Java Edition exclusive, but Bedrock Edition does have some servers you can use. But Java has them all (I think). The most popular Minecraft server is Hypixel, which has the famous Bedwars, Skywars, Duels, and more. Minecraft servers are especially fun because it's a way where you can actually play Multiplayer for free, but it won't be with just you and your friends. It will be an SMP, which stands for Survival Multiplayer. To make your very own Minecraft server, I'm not sure what you have to do to be honest.

Customization/Texture Packs:

You can customize your character in Minecraft such as on Badlion or lunar Client they have a shop where you can buy cloaks, hats/headbands, wings, and more. And even without the Clients I'm pretty sure you can buy cloaks, hats/headbands, wings, and all that, but it's not Badlion or Lunar exclusive. Again I haven't confirmed this but I think you can. Texture Packs are used to change the entire look of Minecraft, and most PvPers use a Texture Pack, and some people use Texture Packs on normal Minecraft Survival. (Watch a YouTube video on how to download and add Texture Packs to Minecraft).
