2005=The Xbox 360

2006=The Nintendo Wii
Was released in 2006 and introduced its new handheld controller of
the follow-up of the original GameCube.
2007=iPod Touch
A device that was easier to use instead of an iPhone since had most of the features of an iPhone without the cellular network. The handheld device made the iPod easier to use and gave it more functions.
2008=Walll-E toys
The hit movie from Disney became so popular that they made merchandise following the movie scenes. From plush toys to an interactive action figure, there was something for every kid that loved the movie.
2009=ZhuZhu Pets
During Christmas time these pets became extremely popular that they sold out as shortages and demand pushed them up to $60 each instead of $9 dollars each.
2010=The iPad
First released in 2010 it immediately sold 15 million units before the second-generation iPad was released in 2011 as it was based on tablets.
2011=The LeapPad Explorer
This toy is quite popular with younger kids as The portable tablet from learning company LeapFrog. So the touchscreen device could have educational games downloaded via apps or use cartridges
2012=The Wii U
By the end of 2012, the Wil U sold more than 3 million devices as the Nintendo's Wii company put a portable update to the Wii to make it better to compete with the X-Box 360 and PlayStation 3.
2013=Tekno the Robotic Puppy
A robotic puppy can come in multiple colors as It answered basic commands and could do backflips.
2014=Frozen" dolls
After the movie, Frozen was released it dominated the toy industry the following year. Olaf plushies, castle sets, and Elsa dolls were sold out everywhere.
2015=The "Star Wars" BB-8 toy droid
As Dinsey shared B-8 in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" to the world, It was Immeditlay sold out as It could be controlled by an app, responds to voice commands, and makes adorable noises.
2016=Hatchimals
Launched in October of 2016, became incredibly popular during the Christmas season. Demand was so high that the New York Times called it the "elusive toy of the holiday season" as these robotic creatures could hatch themselves from eggs
2017=L.O.L. Surprise & Fidget Spinner!
The L.O.L. Surprise is a collectible toy that comes in balls that open up to reveal the surprise inside. The concept of receiving the unknown is thrilling, as kids just wanted to have them all.
Fidget spinners became viral toys in 2017, however, similar devices had been invented. The toy has been promoted as helping people who have trouble focusing or those who may need to fidget to relieve nervous energy, anxiety, or psychological stress.
2018=Rubik's Cubes
Rubik's Cubes became one of the most popular games in America as it was invented in 1974.
2019=Squishies
These Squishies became popular as it helps stress get out as it comes in cute animals or food
2020=Slime
Slime became popular as it is a fun way to spend this pandemic by making it as comes in fun colors & materials.
