VILLAGERS
In the 1300s, in Asia, if you asked a rich person how they got rich, they'd probably say trading. Trading allows you to get more goods and allows you to sell goods you won’t need. In Minecraft, some items are very hard to come by and require extreme skill to acquire. For instance, Emeralds can only be found in Extreme Hill Biomes, which are very rare. And in the Caves under the Extreme Hill biomes, Emeralds are super rare. Emeralds are basically currency in Minecraft and can be used to purchase items from villagers. Different villagers have different items for sale. For instance, the farmer will give you food and farming tools if you give him emeralds and he will also give you emeralds for items he may need. The librarian will give you enchantment books if you pay him emeralds, which makes him the most important. With enchantments, you can make your sword do more damage, make your pickaxe mine faster, and much more. That is why the librarian is the most important. The cleric sells you potions which are hard to brew up. They also sell you Redstone and gold which is only found underground, so the cleric is also a pretty useful villager. There are many other types of villagers that buy and sell goods that you will find pretty useful. There are currently 14 types of villagers. Villagers spawn in villages around the map and will look different based on which type of village they are from. There are currently 7 types of villages. From plains, jungle, savanna, desert, snowy tundra, swamp, and taiga villages. Each village will have 10-25 villagers and will not always have every type of villager.
