Kidz Bop: The Most Pointless Thing Ever

Welp. This was annoying. I remember the days. Back when I was an 8 year old, I was always excited for Friday. Because Friday was GoNoodle Day. And whenever it was GoNoodle Day, it was pretty much always Kidz Bop day. Mind you, this was back in 2017 when Kidz Bop was actually decent. But after 3rd grade, I changed schools and I pretty much forgot about it. But then a few years later in 2020, I was thinking about what to write because I was running low on ideas and I really didn’t want to get fired. Then it hit me. Kidz Bop! So I immediately went to YouTube, found the channel and clicked on their cover of Say So by Doja Cat. And I audibly cringed. So without further ado, let’s take a look at Kidz Bop.

Segment 1: Old Kidz Bop AKA The Good Stuff

Ah, I remember the times. Back when Kidz Bop was in its prime. A great example of these times is their Call Me Maybe Cover From 8 YEARS AGO. When I was researching for this article, I came across this and expected it to be bad. But to my surprise, it was actually quite good! The singing was good, they didn't completely botch the lyrics and it was quite fun to watch! It felt like they actually worked hard and put effort into it unlike most of the modern garbage. And it wasn’t like they just made a whole ton of people sing the solo part. Again, unlike the new stuff. Kidz Bop was in this stage of actually decent music for years. But then, 2018 came.

Segment 2: The Modern Day AKA Cringe City

Oh gosh, where do I start? Im just going to take a guess of the exact moment Kidz Bop fell. I think the song that ruined Kidz Bop is their Cover Of Friends by Anne-Marie and Marshmello. This one sucked so much but no, this isn’t the worst Kidz Bop can get. It gets worse, a LOT worse. The real worst one is their Cover of 7 Rings by Ariana Grande. My gosh, this one is just the literal definition of horrible. I hate it so much that I think it is the worst piece of music EVER. It’s like ultimate cringe with this one. I just hope that Kidz Bop just sits down and thinks about their choices with their songs.

Segment 3: Conclusion

In the end, after all this musical torture, what I really want is Kidz Bop to just go back to their roots. I also want them to just get better writers and put more effort into it. I want little kids to have actually good music to listen to. But for now, if you have kids, just find the clean version on Spotify or just let them have the real stuff because they’ll find out soon anyway.
